Simply charming detailing to this antique aesthetic sterling silver double locket dating from the late Victorian period depicting flying swallows as well as a bird singing. Jewellery often has hidden meaning, in legend, swallows lead ships home when they were getting closer to land and prevented them from being lost. Traditionally giving the meaning 'safe home' or ‘to safely return home’.
The silver has been tested as there are no marks. Good hinge to open and snaps shut securely, 1 slip and lens present the other is missing, there are 2 photo's inside. In great condition with wonderful detailing to the front.
Size including bale 5.7 x 3.5 cm or 2.2 x 1.3 inches.
Weight 16.7 grams or 10.7 penny weight.

All UK items are shipped using Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Service excluding items exceeding a value of £250 which will be sent via Special Delivery. International orders are similarly dispatched within our specified timeframe and are sent using the Royal Mail international tracked and signed service.
