Simply fantastic antique Roman intaglio Grand Tour agate hardstone cameo depicting a pair of dogs dating from the Georgian period. At this time it was common for young wealthy men to travel across Europe on their Grand Tour before settling down to married adult life. Whilst travelling mementos would be collected along the way. Simply wonderful detailing, very slight wear to the edges, there is 2 hairline cracks to the edges, please see the pictures especially with the light behind to see. Waiting to be set into a brooch, pendant, or a necklace. Simply wonderful.

All UK items are shipped using Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Service excluding items exceeding a value of £250 which will be sent via Special Delivery. International orders are similarly dispatched within our specified timeframe and are sent using the Royal Mail international tracked and signed service.
