King Charles II Sterling Silver Dog Nose Trefid Spoon London, 1679 C.K Kemble
Description
Details: A fantastic and wonderfully designed antique early King Charles II sterling silver dog nose trefid spoon with lovely planished bowl and bright cut initials 'GC' to the reverse of the terminal. The spoon is clearly hallmarked for London maker C.K believed to be Christopher Kemble (see. Mitchell) registered 1666. The date letter for 1679 can be partially observed. The spoon has a repair through the stem next to the date letter and marks to the terminal where it has been chewed over 350 years of use. Possible repair to the bowl as well although this is challenging to make out. This is a wonderful item that would make a perfect gift or addition to any collection. The BOX pictured is for PRESENTATION ONLY and is NOT included in the listings but used to frame the pictures unless specifically stated otherwise.
